What do I need to rent a car in Dubai?

What is the minimum age to rent a car?
The minimum age to rent a car is 21 years. For certain premium, luxury, or SUV categories, the minimum age may be 25 years.
Can I book a car without a credit card?
Unfortunately, a credit card is a mandatory requirement by all UAE rental companies for the security deposit block. Debit cards or cash deposits are not accepted for this hold.

What is the security deposit for?
A pre-authorization (hold) is placed on your credit card at the time of pickup. This deposit is a security block for any potential traffic fines, Salik tolls, damages, or fuel. The hold is released upon the safe return of the vehicle, provided there are no outstanding charges. The release can take 7-30 business days, depending on your bank.
What types of insurance do you offer?
Basic Insurance: Included in the rate. This covers third-party liability as per UAE law but has a high deductible (excess) for damage to the rental vehicle.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) / Super CDW: An optional extra that significantly reduces or eliminates your financial liability (deductible) for damage to the rental car. We highly recommend it for peace of mind.
